Yes, and that is deliberate. iiyama lists the integrated software for this range as no operating system, so the panel shows and responds to whatever source you connect. That source is either an Intel OPS80 module fitted in the rear slot or an external PC on HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C. The panel will show a connected source and pass touch back to it out of the box, but it runs no apps of its own.

Because it removes a managed device from the wall. There is no vendor account to create, no app store to police, no firmware platform to keep patched and nothing on the panel asking for outbound network access. The security review covers the PC or OPS module you already own and already patch. That is why this range is bought by banks, courts, defence and public-sector IT rather than by classrooms.

Yes. The USB-C port carries DisplayPort video, touch data and up to 65W of power delivery, so one cable drives the panel, returns touch to the laptop and charges it. Your laptop and your cable both have to support DisplayPort over USB-C, and a laptop that needs more than 65W will still want its own charger. There is also a USB-C output if you need to pass a signal on.

iiyama's specification page for this model does not publish a touch-point figure, so we do not state one. The panel uses DeepContrast-IR+ with palm rejection and plus or minus 1mm accuracy and ships with four styluses, and other sizes in the range do publish a figure. Ask us and we will confirm it with iiyama before you order rather than quote a sibling model's number as if it were this one's.

It removes the air gap between the glass and the panel, so the image sits directly under the point you touch instead of a few millimetres behind it. Writing and dragging feel more accurate at close range, and the bonded stack reflects less light internally. iiyama pairs it here with an anti-glare surface, an anti-gloss treatment and an anti-bacterial coating for a surface many hands will use.

Yes. There is an RS-232 input and two RJ45 ports wired as LAN in and LAN out, so a control processor can drive the display and the network can be carried on to the next screen. iiyama publishes an RS-232 and LAN command list for the TN05 range, which is linked in the documents on this page.

Four styluses, a webcam bracket, a wall mount, a 3 m HDMI cable, a 3 m USB cable and the power cable. There is no PC, no OPS module and no camera: the bracket is there to take a camera you supply. Ask for a quote that names the OPS module or camera you want rather than assuming either is included.

Two 20W speakers with a 20W subwoofer are built in, and there is a 3.5 mm audio input for a source that carries its own sound. In a large boardroom the built-in speakers will cover presentation audio and a call, but a room with difficult acoustics or an existing ceiling system is better served by feeding that system from the source rather than from the panel.

Choose by viewing distance and the smallest text people have to read, not by room capacity alone. Both share the same 4K resolution, the same DeepContrast-IR+ touch on optically bonded glass, the same 65W USB-C connection, the same audio and the same absence of an operating system, so the larger panel adds size rather than capability. This one weighs 66.4 kg against 54.5 kg, draws more power and needs a different mounting pattern, so check the wall, the access route and the sightline together.
