A 65-inch 4K UHD interactive display on a VA panel with 5000:1 static contrast, running iiWare 21E on Android 14 with Google EDLA certification, 40-point DeepContrast-IR++ touch and an optically bonded anti-glare writing surface.

TopAV buying advice

Is the iiyama TE6515A-B2AG right for your classroom?

The high-contrast half of a pair: pick this one for video, diagrams and a room you can darken.

The TE6515A-B2AG and the TE6515A-B1AG are the same 65-inch chassis with the same dimensions, weight, ports, speakers and iiWare build, and the listings are easy to mix up. The difference is the panel. This model uses VA, which blocks light far better when a pixel is off, so blacks are deeper at 5000:1 static contrast against the B1AG's 1200:1, and it responds faster at 6.5ms against 8ms. The B1AG uses IPS instead, which holds colour more consistently for anyone sitting well off to one side, and carries 16GB of memory against this model's 8GB. Neither is the better display outright. Choose this one where the picture matters more than the side seats: video, photography, dark diagrams, or a room with blinds you actually close.

Reasons to shortlist it

  • The VA panel is the point of this variant: 5000:1 static contrast against 1200:1 on the IPS B1AG, so blacks look black rather than grey and video, photographs and dark diagrams keep their depth in a room you can darken.
  • DeepContrast-IR++ tracks 40 touch points with 32-point writing on a supported operating system, quotes +- 1mm accuracy and adds a 200Hz scan rate with a 5ms touch response time, so fast handwriting keeps up with the pen and palm rejection stops a resting hand drawing.
  • The writing surface is optically bonded anti-glare glass with an anti-gloss treatment, an anti-bacterial coating, 3.2mm thickness and 7H hardness, which removes the parallax gap between the pen tip and the ink and stands up to daily contact.
  • iiWare 21E runs on Android 14 and is Google EDLA certified, so managed Google accounts, Google apps and iiyama's own iiControl device management, whiteboard, iiBrowser, file manager, cloud drives and iiShare all run on the display itself with no PC in the room, and a kiosk mode is available for locked-down use.
  • It draws 170W typical against the B1AG's 195W and carries built-in WiFi 6E with Bluetooth 5.0, which matters when several panels sit on one circuit and one congested site network.

Check before you choose

  • VA trades off-axis consistency for contrast. Colour and tone shift more for people seated well off to the side than they do on the IPS B1AG, so if your seating spreads along the side walls, compare the two before ordering. This model also carries 8GB of RAM against the B1AG's 16GB.
  • The panel weighs 43.5kg, and 47.4kg in its box. That is a multi-person lift onto a wall or stand rated for the load, so budget the mount and the installation separately from the display.
  • Four touch pens, the remote, the wall bracket, a webcam bracket and the cables are in the box; an OPS PC module and a camera are not. iiyama rates the components for 24/7 operation but recommends no more than 18 hours of use a day, so agree the power schedule and the Google account policy with your IT team before rollout.

See the 65" on your wall, to scale

On a phone, point your camera at the wall and see the 65" there at its real size. On a computer, upload a photo of the wall (or scan the QR code to take one with your phone and it will appear here) and drag the display around it to scale.

Not sure 65" is the right size for the room? The screen size calculator shows how far a 65" display carries for presentations, touch work and video.

What to plan before installing the TE6515A-B2AG

01

Size & sightlines

Measure the longest viewing distance and the smallest text people need to read, then check that pupils or presenters can comfortably reach the lower part of the glass at the mounting height you have in mind. If seats run along the side walls rather than facing the board, the IPS B1AG is the better fit.

02

Mount & connections

Check the wall construction and plan for a 43.5kg panel on the mounting pattern listed in the specification table. Decide which sources use the two HDMI inputs, the DisplayPort input and the USB-C input, and run a wired network drop to one of the two gigabit RJ45 ports if the display will be managed centrally. iiyama lists a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern.

03

Software & installation

Decide whether sessions run on the built-in Android system or on a connected laptop or an optional Intel OPS module in the rear slot, and confirm Google account sign-in, kiosk policy and app licensing with your IT team. Tell us if you need mounting, cabling, a trolley or a camera quoted with it.

Display price is for the panel. Installation and optional equipment are quoted separately. Purchase-order terms are available to approved education customers.

Build a quote you can compare

Include these details in your project enquiry so the quote covers the room as well as the screen.

  • Number of displays, site postcode and required date.
  • Furthest viewing distance and available wall space.
  • Wall type, fixed mount or adjustable trolley, and cable routes.
  • Laptop model, teaching apps, and any camera or Windows PC needs.

Ask for separate equipment, delivery, installation and licence costs, with a total including VAT. Confirm warranty coverage and any registration requirements before placing the order.

Specifications are iiyama's published figures. Checked on 13 September 2026. The buying advice is our own, from specifying and installing equipment like this in UK classrooms and meeting rooms.

iiyama TE6515A-B2AG questions answered

What is the difference between the TE6515A-B2AG and the TE6515A-B1AG?

They share the chassis, the 1489.1 x 911.8 x 87.1mm dimensions, the 43.5kg weight, the connector set, the speakers, the microphone and the same iiWare 21E build on Android 14. Four things separate them. This B2AG uses a VA panel with 5000:1 static contrast against the B1AG's 1200:1 and a faster 6.5ms response against 8ms, and it draws 170W typical against 195W. The B1AG uses an IPS panel, which keeps colour more consistent for people seated off to the side, and carries 16GB of RAM against this model's 8GB. Pick the B2AG for video-led content and a room you can darken, the B1AG for a wide room and heavier multitasking.

Who is the iiyama ProLite TE6515A-B2AG best suited to?

Consider it for a classroom, a training room or a meeting room where people write on the board rather than only watch it, where the content leans on video, photographs or dark diagrams, and where the display needs to work on its own without a PC. At 65 inches it suits a standard-sized room; measure the furthest reading position against the smallest text you use before settling on that size.

Why does the panel type matter on an interactive display?

Because a board is looked at from angles a desk monitor never is. A VA panel of the kind used here blocks light better when a pixel is off, so blacks are deeper and the picture has more punch, especially with the lights down. An IPS panel of the kind used in the B1AG keeps colour and tone more consistent as you move off to the side, which suits rows of seats along the walls. iiyama publishes no viewing-angle figure for either model in its current specification, so treat this as a difference in panel behaviour rather than a number to compare.

Does the TE6515A-B2AG need a computer to work?

No. iiWare 21E runs on the display's own Android 14 system with a whiteboard, the iiBrowser web browser, a file manager, cloud drive access and iiShare wireless sharing built in, plus EShare for connecting Windows, iOS and Android devices. A laptop connects over HDMI, DisplayPort or USB-C when you want to work from your own files, and an Intel OPS 80-pin module can be fitted in the rear slot if you want a full Windows PC behind the screen.

What does Google EDLA certification mean in practice?

It means the display is licensed to run Google's mobile services, so managed Google accounts, the Google app catalogue and Google sign-in work natively on the panel rather than through a workaround. For a school or an organisation already on Google Workspace, that is what lets the board be enrolled and managed like any other device. Confirm your account policy and licences with your IT team, as those are separate from the hardware.

How many people can write on it at once, and how responsive is it?

iiyama lists 40 touch points with 32-point writing on a supported operating system and 32-point touch under Android, quoted to +- 1mm accuracy, with palm rejection. This variant adds a 200Hz scan rate and a 5ms touch response time, which is what keeps ink under the tip during fast handwriting. Touch works with the four supplied dual-tip pens, a finger, a gloved hand or any opaque object, over a USB touch interface back to a connected PC.

Which version of Android does it run?

It ships with iiWare 21E on Android 14. iiyama lists a later Android release for this series as a future roadmap item rather than a shipped version, so plan around Android 14 and ask us to confirm the build installed on your delivery if a particular app or policy depends on it.

Can I connect a laptop with one cable?

Yes. The USB-C input carries DisplayPort 1.2 alternate mode video at 3840 x 2160 and 60Hz, touch data back to the laptop, and 100W of power delivery on a single lead. Your laptop and cable both have to support DisplayPort over USB-C, and a machine that draws more than 100W will still want its own charger. There are also two HDMI 2.0 inputs with ARC on the first, a DisplayPort 1.2 input, HDMI and USB-C outputs, and RS-232c for control.

What audio, sensors and networking are built in?

Two 20W front-facing speakers with a 20W subwoofer on the back, an 8-array microphone rated for 8m voice pick-up, optical S/PDIF and a headphone jack. Sensors cover ambient light, an NFC reader, PIR motion and pen pick-up, which is what lets the display wake and switch to writing mode without anyone touching a menu. Networking is built-in WiFi 6E with Bluetooth 5.0, a step up from the WiFi 6 radio in the B1AG, plus two gigabit RJ45 ports wired as in and out with auto switching between the PC and the Android system.

How much power does it use and can it run all day?

iiyama lists 170W typical, 0.5W in standby and 0.3W in off mode, on an internal power supply running from 100V to 240V AC at 50Hz to 60Hz, in energy efficiency class G. The components are rated for 24/7 operation, though iiyama recommends not exceeding 18 hours a day for longevity, and it is a fanless design rated from 0 to 40 degrees C with a 50,000 hour MTBF excluding the backlight. That 170W is 25W less than the B1AG, which is worth factoring in if you are fitting several displays on one circuit.
