Description
The VP2730 gathers the parts of a mid-size presentation system into one 1U box. Seven inputs cover five HDMI, one DisplayPort and one VGA source, and there are three outputs: two HDMI and one HDBaseT that will reach 60 m over Cat 5e/6 or 70 m over Cat 6a at 1080p.
The audio side is more capable than a typical switch. As well as a stereo mini-jack input there is a five-pole balanced audio input and a three-pole microphone input with switchable phantom power, plus optical, coaxial and stereo RCA outputs, so a lectern microphone and a programme feed can be mixed without a separate DSP. A Go Live button set on the front panel drives the streaming function.
Control covers front-panel pushbuttons, RS-232, IR and Ethernet, and the unit pairs with ATEN's VPK312K1 network remote pad for wall-plate operation. The chassis is metal, rack-mountable and draws around 27 W.
