Description

The VP1420 is a small presentation matrix for meeting rooms and classrooms that still have a VGA source to accommodate. Three HDMI inputs and one VGA input feed two HDMI outputs, with True 4K at 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz 4:4:4 supported on the HDMI path and HDR handling on board.

Audio can be taken from either the HDMI or the VGA source and sent out on a three-pole captive screw line-level connector to a room amplifier. A contact-in port and an LED-out port let the switch work with a simple wall keypad, and ATEN's VPK104 four-key contact closure pad is designed for exactly this.

As well as the front-panel buttons the unit accepts RS-232 on a captive screw connector, IR and Ethernet control. It is a metal chassis a little over 20 cm wide and runs from an external 5 V supply.

Two independent outputs

Both HDMI outputs can be assigned separately, so a lectern monitor and a main display can show different sources.

Contact closure keypad support

Contact-in and LED-out captive screw ports work with a wall keypad such as ATEN's VPK104.

Line-level audio out

Audio de-embedded from the selected source is available on a three-pole captive screw connector.
