Description

The VP1421 adds distance and audio processing to the compact presentation matrix format. Alongside two HDMI inputs and a VGA input there is an HDBaseT input with selectable Power over HDBaseT, and the outputs are one HDMI and one HDBaseT, so a far display up to 60 m away over Cat 5e/6 can be driven directly without a separate transmitter.

A 6.3 mm microphone input with switchable phantom power feeds the on-board DSP, with front-panel microphone and volume knobs, and audio leaves on an unbalanced line-level captive screw connector or a Toslink optical output. IR and RS-232 channels are extended over the HDBaseT link in both directions, so a remote source or display can still be controlled.

Contact-in and LED-out ports support a wall keypad such as the VPK104, and the unit also accepts local RS-232, IR and Ethernet control. It runs from an external 12 V supply.
