Description

The VS424HDPIP does more than route four HDMI sources to four displays: it can combine inputs on a single screen. Matrix, dual and wall modes let one display carry several feeds at once, which saves buying extra screens where a control desk or reception point needs to watch more than one source.

Resolution support runs to 1920 x 1200 and 1080p, with audio carried alongside the video. Front-panel LEDs show the selected input and output, the current mode, and whether the configuration is saved or locked, so the state of the switch is readable at a glance rather than only in software.

Control is available from the front panel, the bundled remote, RS232 or the RJ-45 network port. The aluminium chassis is 43.6 cm wide, mounting brackets are supplied, and the universal power adapter includes UK, EU, ANZ and NA plugs. StarTech.com covers it with a two-year warranty.
