Description

The VM5404HA routes any of four HDMI sources to any of four HDMI outputs and adds a separate array-mode output that can show up to four sources at once in a multi-view window, which makes it easy to preview what is about to go to air in a lecture theatre or control room.

The built-in scaler converts each input to the resolution the connected display actually wants, and FrameSync ties the scaler output frame rate to the incoming signal so that images do not tear. Video wall layouts are configured through the web GUI, with up to eight saved layouts, and EDID Expert handles the resolution negotiation across mixed screens.

Control is available from the front panel, over RS-232, through Ethernet using Telnet or the web GUI, from the ATEN Video Matrix Control app, or as part of a wider ATEN Control System. The unit is a metal 1U chassis drawing about 35 W.
