Description
The VM6809H is built for video wall work: eight HDMI inputs and nine HDMI outputs, which is exactly the output count a 3 x 3 wall needs. A 4K signal can be split across four 1080p displays for a 2 x 2 wall or nine 720p displays for a 3 x 3, so an existing set of lower-resolution screens can still be driven from a 4K source.
The built-in 4K scaler converts each input to the native resolution of its display, Seamless Switch keeps the picture continuous through a source change, and FrameSync prevents tearing by locking the scaler output frame rate to the incoming signal. Layouts are configured in the web GUI and EDID Expert handles resolution negotiation.
The switch is managed from the front panel, over RS-232, or across the network by Telnet or web GUI, and it appears in the ATEN Video Matrix Control app. It is a rack-mountable metal chassis rated to 50 degrees C.
