Description
The VM1600A is a chassis rather than a fixed matrix: four input slots and four output slots take ATEN's hot-swappable modular I/O boards, so the same frame can be built as HDMI, DVI, 3G-SDI, VGA or HDBaseT and rebuilt later as requirements change. Fully populated it switches 16 sources to 16 destinations at up to 15.2 Gbps.
With the appropriate boards it handles 4K resolutions to 3840 x 2160 and 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz 4:4:4 or 60 Hz 4:2:0, scales inputs to each display's native resolution, and supports Seamless Switch for uninterrupted changes of source. Video wall layouts are built in the web GUI, and calendar-based scheduling can play a stored profile at a set time using the real-time clock.
Configuration is available from the front panel, over RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485, and across Ethernet by web GUI or Telnet, as well as from the ATEN Video Matrix Control app. The frame takes removable fan and redundant power modules and occupies 6U.
