Description

The ViewSonic XF2430 is a 24-inch open-frame touch monitor — a bare chassis meant to be built into a kiosk, a counter, a ticket machine or a piece of production equipment rather than sat on a desk. There is no stand and no decorative bezel; the mounting flanges and the VESA pattern are the whole fixing story.

The panel runs at 1920 x 1080 with 210 cd/m² brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio, behind 3 mm of cover glass with a Hard coating (7H) coating. Touch is PCAP 10 points projected capacitive, which behaves the way a phone screen does — light touches register, and gloved or wet fingers are far less of a problem than with resistive panels.

The front face is sealed to IP65 so it can be wiped down or splashed without concern, and ViewSonic rates the monitor for 24/7 continuous operation with a 30,000 hrs backlight life. HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA inputs cover whatever the host system offers, touch returns over USB Type-B, and the unit mounts on 75 x 75 mm & 100 x 100 mm VESA patterns. A wide -10 to 80°C temperature option and a light sensor are available for harsher installations.
