Description
The VIGI PS90 is the controller and battery bank half of a VIGI solar installation, supplied without a panel. It houses three automotive-grade lithium battery modules of 31.2 Ah each for a maximum of 93.6 Ah, and manages charging and discharge for the cameras connected to it.
Three times the storage of the all-in-one SP9030 is what buys autonomy through a run of overcast days, which is the usual failure mode of an undersized off-grid camera installation in the UK. The cells carry the same intelligent auxiliary heating, so the pack still accepts charge below freezing, and are rated for more than 500 cycles.
Output is via three 5.5 mm DC plugs, two rated 9-12.6 V at 2 A and one at 12 V 2 A, with nominal voltage of 10.95 V and a 12.6 V maximum. A 10/100 Mbps RJ45 port carries the camera network. The IP66 enclosure measures 481 x 426 x 163 mm and weighs 16.5 kg, or 24 kg packaged, and operates from -30 to 60 degrees C. A solar panel and mounting bracket are ordered separately.
