Description
This is the heavy-duty mounting bracket for a 180 W VIGI solar array, built from SGCC galvanised steel with CO2-welded joints and grade 8.8 high-strength fasteners. It is the structural half of an off-grid camera installation, and the part that decides whether the array is still pointing at the sun after a winter gale.
The bracket clamps to poles between 80 and 160 mm in diameter and adjusts manually through 5 to 55 degrees of tilt, so the panel angle can be set for the site latitude and seasonal sun path. Anti-loosening spring washers hold the setting under vibration.
TP-Link rates the assembly for wind resistance up to 160 kph and an operating range of -30 to 60 degrees C at 5 to 90 per cent non-condensing humidity. Assembled it measures 900 x 580 x 208 mm and weighs 20 kg, or 24 kg packaged. Solar panels and the power system are ordered separately.
