Bolide BN8037AI/NDAA 5MP LPR Long-Range Motorised Varifocal Bullet Camera

The BN8037AI/NDAA is Bolide's long-range licence plate recognition bullet. A 5-50 mm 10x motorised varifocal lens on a 1/2.7-inch progressive-scan CMOS sensor gives a DORI detection range of 848 m and an identification range of 84.8 m at the telephoto end, which is what a gate, barrier or car park entrance reading needs. At the 5 mm wide end the same figures are 124 m detect and 12.4 m identify.

The camera records 2592 x 1944 at 20 fps with 120 dB wide dynamic range and a 0.05 lux minimum illumination at F2.0, dropping to 0 lux with infrared. Four IR LEDs reach 80 m. Day/night behaviour is selectable between full colour, day and night, and smart illumination modes. Edge analytics cover face detection and recognition, licence plate detection and recognition, pedestrian and vehicle classification, perimeter intrusion, line crossing, object detection, cross counting, heat map, crowd density, queue length, region entrance and exiting, tampering and sound detection.

The metal housing is IP67 rated and operates from -30 to 60 degrees C at under 95 per cent non-condensing humidity. Power is 12 V DC at up to 6.9 W or 802.3af PoE at up to 8.7 W. A microSD slot takes cards up to 1 TB, and the camera supports ONVIF Profiles S, G, T and M. It is NDAA compliant. Measuring 285.75 x 82.55 mm and weighing 1.42 kg, it pairs with the Bolide BP-JB-BOX hinged junction box.
