Description

The VisualStation VS600HD gives a control room or reception desk a live camera wall without a PC. It connects to a Synology NAS running Surveillance Station and renders the video itself, so there is no Windows machine to patch, licence or reboot behind the counter.

It handles up to 50 IP camera channels in H.264 and H.265 and drives two HDMI outputs at 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz or 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. Two USB 3.0 ports take a keyboard and mouse for PTZ and layout control, and 3.5 mm audio in and out jacks carry two-way audio to and from cameras that support it.

The unit measures 41.84 x 150 x 150 mm and weighs 0.36 kg, with MIS-D 75 and MIS-D 100 VESA mounting so it can be fixed behind the monitor itself. A 36 W adapter supplies it; consumption is 5.85 W at idle and 15.49 W at a 50-channel full load. Synology covers it with a three-year warranty. Note that it is a client for Surveillance Station, not a recorder, and requires a Synology NAS.

Key features

Live wall without a PC

Renders up to 50 camera channels directly, removing the Windows client machine from a reception or control desk.

Dual 4K HDMI outputs

Two HDMI ports at 3840 x 2160 / 30 Hz or 1920 x 1080 / 60 Hz for a two-screen layout.

Low power draw

5.85 W at idle and 15.49 W at 50-channel full load from a 36 W adapter.
