Description

The NetBotz Camera Pod 165 is a surveillance camera for data centre and comms room monitoring rather than a general-purpose CCTV camera. It attaches to an APC NetBotz Rack Monitor 750 or 755 appliance and sends image data through it, so it forms part of the environmental monitoring system rather than a separate video installation.

That distinction matters in practice: the pod can be triggered by the appliance in response to an environmental alarm such as a temperature spike or a door contact opening, capturing the moment something changed rather than relying on continuous recording. It also provides constant surveillance of a room or entrance when that is what is wanted.

Motion detection zones are configurable, so alerts can be limited to the areas of a hall that matter and ignore movement elsewhere. The pod supports Power over Ethernet or a DC power supply, and mounts on a rack, a wall or a ceiling. It requires a NetBotz 750 or 755 appliance to operate.
