Replace Your Existing Projector Without Guesswork

Find a compatible replacement for your existing projector. Check throw distance, screen size and installation requirements before you buy.

Find a compatible projector

Let’s check your classroom setup

You don’t need to know the projector’s make or model. Two measurements help us find possible replacements.

Projected picture
How wide is the projected picture?

Measure from the left edge of the picture to the right edge, not the whole board.

ProjectorScreen
How far is the projector from the screen?

Measure straight from the front of the lens to the screen surface.

Not sure? We can help.

Email us photos of the projector and board, or ask your site team to help with the measurements. You don’t need to reach a ceiling-mounted projector.

The initial measurements are examples. Enter your actual installation measurements before choosing a product. Results check lens geometry; mounting, cabling and missing specifications still need confirmation.

1. Your classroom measurements

Measure from the front of the lens to the screen surface, and the width of the picture itself, not the board.

Advanced options (optional)

By default, the mount stays in place and alternative picture widths can vary by up to 5%. Set both to zero to only check your current distance and picture width.

Changing a measurement will clear your results until you confirm again.

Before you choose

  1. 01

Measure from the front of the lens to the screen, then measure the picture width. The board width may be different.

  2. 02

Check the bracket plate, projector weight, lens offset and available lens shift. A throw-ratio match alone does not confirm installation compatibility.

  3. 03

Check HDMI or other connections, cable lengths and your screen aspect ratio before choosing a replacement.

Your questions answered

Do I need to know my projector’s model?

No. Start with the projected picture width and the distance from the projector lens to the screen. If you are unsure, email us photos of the projector and board. If you happen to know the model, you can add it to your quote enquiry.

Can I keep the existing mount?

Possibly. The lens must cover the required throw ratio, and the bracket fixing pattern, load rating, lens position and offset must also suit the new projector. Ultra short throw projectors often need a model-specific wall arm.

What if there are no matches?

Check the measurements and consider whether the mount or image size can change. Ask for advice before ordering; missing catalogue specifications do not prove compatibility.

Can TopAV help with installation?
