Description

The ViewSonic VB-MIC-201 is an expansion microphone for the VB-CAM-201 all-in-one conference camera. It sits further down the table and extends the system's pickup range to eight metres, which is what a longer boardroom table needs if the people at the far end are to be heard properly.

Pickup is 360-degree omnidirectional over a 6m radius, with noise cancellation applied before the signal reaches the camera. It is a puck about 100mm across and 20mm thick, so it sits low enough not to block sightlines across the table.

A lit mute button on the top mutes the whole system, not just this microphone — which matters in practice, because the person who needs to mute the room is rarely the person sitting next to the camera.
