Description
The ViewSonic EP5542T is a freestanding 55-inch digital poster built for the spots where a wall-mounted screen is not an option — foyers, showroom floors, exhibition stands and retail aisles. It stands on its own base, runs in portrait at 2160 x 3840, and needs only a power socket to start showing content.

The panel is a VA-type LCD with DLED backlighting rated at 450 nits (typ.) and a 1300:1 (typ.) contrast ratio, with 178-degree viewing in both axes so the image holds up for someone walking past at an angle. ViewSonic rates it for 16/7 operation and quotes a 30,000 Hours Typ. backlight life. The front is 7H Tempered Glass with 10 points of infrared touch, so the poster can carry a wayfinding map or a product finder rather than just a playlist.
A quad-core media player is built in, so a USB stick or a scheduled playlist is enough for most deployments and no external player is needed. HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA inputs are there when the content comes from a PC or a signage appliance instead, and RS232 plus LAN allow the screen to be powered and switched remotely as part of a managed estate.
