Description
This is the 4 mm variant of TP-Link's InSight S455 turret. The tighter 88-degree horizontal field of view trades width for pixel density on target, which is what you want on a corridor, a gate approach or a till point where face and detail recognition matter more than area coverage.
Everything behind the lens is identical to the 2.8 mm model: a 1/2.7-inch progressive-scan CMOS sensor recording at 2880 x 1620, 120 dB wide dynamic range, and switchable illumination with four 850 nm IR LEDs and four white LEDs both reaching 30 m. Minimum illumination is 0.005 lux and 0 lux with either illuminator running.
Power and data arrive over one Cat5e run via 802.3af/at PoE at up to 12 W, or from a local 12 V DC supply. Two-way audio and a microSD slot for up to 512 GB give you on-camera intercom and edge recording, and the IP67 housing is rated from -30 to 60 degrees C.

Longer identification range
The 4 mm F1.6 lens narrows coverage to 88 degrees horizontally, concentrating the 5MP sensor on faces and number plates further down a corridor or driveway.
Colour or covert night vision
Four white LEDs give full-colour footage to 30 m; four 850 nm IR LEDs cover the same distance without visible light.
Single-cable PoE installation
802.3af/at Class 0 PoE at up to 12 W, or 12 V DC, with a 10/100M self-adaptive Ethernet port.
Edge storage and two-way audio
Built-in microphone and speaker plus a microSD slot for cards up to 512 GB.
