Description
The MMD 845 is the super-cardioid module in Sennheiser's wireless capsule range. The tighter pattern is the point: it buys extra feedback margin on a stage where the wedges are loud and the vocalist wants more level.
Sennheiser describes it as giving vocals a large amount of space and a voluminous sound, and lists it as compatible with the handheld transmitters of the ew G3, ew G4, D1, AVX, SpeechLine Digital Wireless and 2000 series. Because the pattern is narrower than a cardioid, it rewards a singer who works consistently on axis.
This is a microphone module only. It screws onto a compatible Sennheiser handheld transmitter using the standard capsule interface; the transmitter, receiver and batteries are separate purchases. Sennheiser's standard warranty is two years.
