Description

The Qbic BXP-321 is a commercial Android signage player that turns any TV or monitor with an HDMI port into a MassCasts digital signage screen. Unlike a consumer TV stick, it is built to run all day, every day: a fanless metal housing, a wired Gigabit Ethernet port and an operating range of -40 to 70°C.

Qbic players are open Android with no signage software of their own pre-installed, so the screen runs MassCasts and nothing else. It outputs 4K at 60 fps over HDMI 2.0 and has an HDMI input up to 1080p, so a live source such as a TV feed or a PC can sit inside a MassCasts layout.

MassCasts is the digital signage software from Mass Coms, £99 per screen per year with one licence free when you book 3 or more screens. It is billed by Mass Coms; the player is supplied by TopAV.

Does the Qbic BXP-321 run MassCasts?

Yes. It is the commercial MassCasts player TopAV supplies for screens that run all day. Install the MassCasts player app, open it once and pair the screen in your MassCasts dashboard with the 6-digit code it shows.

How is it different from the Xiaomi TV Stick?

The Xiaomi stick is a low-cost option for screens used for part of the day. The BXP-321 is a commercial player built to run all day, every day, with wired Ethernet, an HDMI input and a wide operating temperature range.

Does it need a network cable?

A wired Gigabit Ethernet connection is recommended for all-day screens. Wi-Fi 5 and 4G LTE are available as options.

Can I mount it behind the screen?

Yes. It measures 180 x 118 x 27 mm and has mounting flanges, so it can be fixed to a wall or behind a screen.
