Description

Poly Sync 40-M is the Microsoft Teams certified variant of the Sync 40 speakerphone. The '-M' suffix in HP's part numbering marks a device certified for Microsoft Teams: alongside the usual call, mute, volume and Bluetooth keys, the touch strip carries a dedicated Microsoft Teams button that raises the app, joins the meeting in front of you and shows Teams notifications on the device. The hardware is otherwise identical to the standard Sync 40.

A three-microphone steerable array with full-duplex audio and on-device noise and echo reduction covers a pickup range of about 2.5 m. A 50 mm driver in a bass reflex enclosure with dual passive radiators handles playback from 75 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 89 dB SPL. Connect to a PC or Mac with the combined USB-A and USB-C cable, or to a phone over Bluetooth 5.1 at up to 30 m.

The internal Li-ion battery runs to 30 hours of talk time and recharges in under five hours, so the unit travels between rooms and desks without a power supply. The chassis is IP64 rated and has a Kensington lock slot, and two units can be wirelessly daisy-chained for a longer table. Poly Lens handles inventory and firmware across a fleet.
