Description

Poly Sync 40+M combines both Sync 40 options in one part number. HP's suffixes are literal: the '+' means the box includes a BT700 USB-A Bluetooth adapter, and the 'M' means the unit is certified for Microsoft Teams and carries a dedicated Teams key on the touch strip. Pressing it raises Teams, joins the meeting in front of you and surfaces notifications on the device itself.

The audio hardware is the standard Sync 40 platform. A three-microphone steerable array with full-duplex audio covers roughly 2.5 m of pickup, with microphone sensitivity of -45 +/-3 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio above 55 dB. A 50 mm driver in a bass reflex enclosure with dual passive radiators reproduces 75 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 89 dB SPL, with noise and echo reduction handled on the device rather than by the meeting client.

The bundled BT700 adapter gives a laptop a consistent Bluetooth 5.1 link at up to 30 m instead of relying on the host machine's own radio; a combined USB-A and USB-C cable is included for wired use. The Li-ion battery lasts up to 30 hours of talk time and recharges in under five hours, the chassis is IP64 rated with a Kensington lock slot, and Poly Lens handles fleet inventory and firmware.
