Description

Poly Sync 40+ is the Sync 40 speakerphone bundled with a BT700 USB-A Bluetooth adapter. In HP's Sync naming, a '+' means the box includes that adapter: the speakerphone connects wirelessly to a laptop through a known-good Poly radio rather than whatever Bluetooth chipset the machine happens to have, which is the difference that matters in managed estates. The speakerphone itself is the standard, non-Teams-certified model.

Audio is unchanged from the base model. A three-microphone steerable array with full-duplex audio covers a pickup range of about 2.5 m, with noise and echo reduction handled on the device. A 50 mm driver in a bass reflex enclosure with dual passive radiators reproduces 75 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 89 dB SPL, with microphone sensitivity of -45 +/-3 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio above 55 dB.

Wired connection is over a combined USB-A and USB-C cable; Bluetooth 5.1 reaches up to 30 m. The rechargeable Li-ion battery gives up to 30 hours of talk time and charges in under five hours. The IP64-rated chassis takes a Kensington lock, two units can be wirelessly daisy-chained, and Poly Lens provides remote inventory and firmware management.
