The LG UltraGear 27GX790A-B is a 27-inch QHD OLED panel built around one figure: a 480Hz refresh rate paired with a 0.03ms grey-to-grey response. That combination is only really achievable on OLED, and it is what separates this from the fast IPS panels sitting at similar prices.

Because it is OLED, contrast is effectively per-pixel — LG quotes 1,500,000:1 with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and peak brightness up to 1,300 nits. Colour coverage is 98.5% of DCI-P3 with a factory Delta E of 2 or better, so it doubles as a colour-critical screen rather than being a games-only display. An anti-glare, low-reflection coating handles a lit room.

Connections are DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, USB and a four-pole headphone jack, with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and VESA Certified AdaptiveSync all supported. The stand tilts, swivels, pivots and adjusts 110 mm in height. Note there are no built-in speakers.
