The LG UltraGear 49GR85DC-B is a 49-inch 32:9 panel — the width of two 27-inch QHD monitors with no bezel down the middle. The 1000R curve is aggressive by design: at this width a flatter panel puts the far edges noticeably further from the eye, and 1000R keeps the whole surface at a roughly constant viewing distance.

Resolution is 5120 x 1440 at up to 240Hz, available over DisplayPort 1.4 or either of the two HDMI 2.1 inputs — worth noting, because plenty of ultrawides at this size cap HDMI well below their DisplayPort ceiling. Response time is 1ms grey-to-grey at the Faster setting, with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and variable refresh rate support.

The VA panel gives 3000:1 typical contrast and 95% DCI-P3 coverage, and carries VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification with factory colour calibration. Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture let it run two sources side by side, which is the practical case for this shape in an office as well as a games room. Typical power draw is 90W.
