The Epson Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B is Epson's flagship ultra-short-throw laser projector-TV, using genuine 4K (8.3 million pixel) 3-chip 3LCD projection rather than pixel-shift enhancement. It delivers 4,000 lumens of colour and white light output with over 5,000,000:1 contrast, and an extremely short 0.16-0.40:1 throw ratio lets it sit just centimetres from the wall while still producing images up to 150 inches. Audio comes from a 20W 2.1-channel Sound by Bose system with Dolby Audio, and Google TV with Netflix built in provides quick access to films, live sport and box sets. AI image enhancement (AIPQ/AISR) improves detail and upscaling, while manual focus and Wi-Fi 6E/Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity round out a design intended to be a permanent home cinema centrepiece rather than a portable unit. The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours and up to 10 years of typical use, and the EH-LS970B in Metallic Black is backed by Epson's 5-year (60 month) carry-in warranty.
