Description

The CinePrime W5700 is BenQ's colour-accurate 4K home cinema projector, and it is specified for a dedicated room rather than a bright lounge. Brightness is a deliberate 1,800 ANSI lumens; the numbers that matter here are 100% DCI-P3 and 100% Rec.709 coverage and a 100,000:1 contrast ratio.

Installation flexibility is unusually good for the price. A 1.36-2.18:1 throw ratio with 1.6x zoom, vertical lens shift of ±60% and horizontal of ±23% means the projector can go where the room allows rather than where the screen dictates, and a 0% offset keeps a shelf mount straightforward.

The panel is true 4K UHD at 3840 x 2160 with 30-bit colour, HDR and HLG support and ISF Day and Night calibrated modes. Two HDMI 2.0b inputs with HDCP 2.2 handle sources, and there is LAN, RS232, a wired remote input and a 12V trigger for a motorised screen. There is no built-in speaker — a S/PDIF output and a 3.5mm audio output feed the room's own system. The chassis is 492 x 168 x 349mm and 6.5kg.
