Description

The Epson Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970W is a 3LCD ultra short-throw laser projector in diamond white, designed to replace a large TV. It produces 4K (3840 x 2160) images at 4,000 lumens of colour and white light output, with over 5,000,000:1 contrast, HDR10 and HLG support, and AI picture processing that sharpens and upscales lower-resolution content. With a 0.16-0.40:1 throw ratio it creates an 80 to 150 inch image while sitting 0.3 to 0.5 m from the wall.

Google TV is built in, with Google Assistant and Chromecast, so streaming apps run without a separate box. Sound comes from a 20 W 2.1-channel system (two satellites and a woofer) tuned by Bose, with Dolby Audio. Connections include two HDMI 2.0 inputs (HDCP 2.3), one HDMI with ARC/eARC, two USB-A ports, optical digital audio out and a headphone output, plus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours and runs quietly at 29 dB(A), or 18 dB(A) in Eco mode. Epson covers it with a 60-month carry-in warranty (or 12,000 hours).
