Description

BrightSign XD6 is a Series 6 4K digital signage player. BrightSign describes it as delivering 'Exceptional 4K video and graphics performance - Deployable anywhere.'

The XD6 leverages the flexibility of Power over Ethernet (PoE+) to deploy high-performance 4K graphics and stream 4K video without a local mains outlet.

It decodes dual 10-bit 4K at 60p, supports 10-bit HDR, 4K video rotation and 4K image and graphics resolution.

Internal storage is expandable via an M.2 PCIe interface for optional NVMe SSD storage, and the player has an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

The chassis is an anodized aluminium enclosure with built-in wall mounting, measures 205 x 185.9 x 19.2 mm and weighs 0.59 kg.

XD236 is the Standard I/O package version of the XD6. BrightSign describes it as offering 'Seamless 4K graphics and pristine 4K 60Hz playback, complemented by PoE+, additional internal memory for complex applications, and the option of secure SSD storage.'

Its HTML5 performance level is rated by BrightSign as 'Smooth full screen 2D WebGL motion'.
