Description

The AS106 is the mid-size member of ATEN's ceiling loudspeaker range and is supplied in pairs. Its 6.5-inch paper-cone driver with rubber surround sits coaxially with a 20 mm PEI dome tweeter, extending the bandwidth down to 80 Hz and lifting sensitivity to 90 dB SPL, which makes it a better fit than the 4-inch AS104 for larger meeting rooms and open areas.

Transformer taps allow the speaker to be used as an 8 ohm low-impedance unit or on a 70V or 100V distributed line, with taps at 7.5W, 15W, 30W and 60W on 70V and 15W, 30W and 60W on 100V. Rated power is 60W RMS and 120W peak.

The baffle is UL94-V0 rated ABS on a zinc-coated steel back can, the magnetic grille is paintable, and a cutout template and dog-leg mounting system speed up installation. Cutout diameter is 221 mm with 195 mm of clearance needed above the ceiling.
