Description
The Sony VPL-PHZ51 is an ultra-compact WUXGA 3LCD laser projector for conference rooms, lecture halls and large classrooms, delivering 5,300 lumens (5,800 lm centre) from a sealed, maintenance-light laser light engine. It shares its chassis and feature set with the brighter PHZ61, including Sony's Bright View processing for washed-out-free images in well-lit rooms and Intelligent Settings with Ambiance, which uses a built-in light sensor to automatically tune brightness, colour gain and Reality Creation to the room. The fixed 1.6x manual zoom lens (throw ratio 1.23:1-1.97:1) and generous -35%/+55% vertical lens shift make it easy to retrofit into an existing ceiling mount. 21:9 signal support (2560x1080) suits ultra-wide hybrid-meeting displays, and 4K 60P input is accepted and scaled to the native WUXGA (1920x1200) panel resolution with Reality Creation detail enhancement. Connectivity covers HDMI, HDBaseT, RGB and composite video inputs plus RS-232C and LAN control, with a built-in 16W speaker for standalone use. At approximately 7.0 kg it is one of the lightest projectors in its brightness class.
