Description

The BRC-AM7 is Sony's flagship PTZ Auto Framing camera and the only one in the family built around a 1.0-type Exmor RS CMOS sensor. That sensor, together with a 20x optical zoom covering 24-480 mm in 35 mm terms and a built-in variable ND filter, puts it in production territory rather than meeting-room territory.

It shoots 4K 60p with Fast Hybrid AF across up to 475 phase-detection points, and offers Sony's cinema Base Look options including S-Cinetone and S-Log3, so it cuts against Cinema Line cameras without a grade fight. AI analytics handle auto framing and composition tracking. Minimum illumination is 1.2 lux typical, and ISO runs from 250 to 16000.

Connectivity is built for live production: NDI|HX pre-installed, SRT, RTMP/RTMPS and RTSP streaming at up to 80 Mbps, two XLR audio inputs with 48 V phantom power, gigabit Ethernet and tally ramps on both sides of the body. It runs on DC 12 V or PoE++, measures approximately 168.7 x 225.2 x 192.3 mm at about 3.5 kg, and is rated NC25 or quieter in operation.
