Description

Cisco's four-sensor conferencing camera bar, supplied here as a standalone spare for Room Kit EQX and other Quad Camera based room systems.

A wide lens plus three 50-degree tele-lenses let the camera switch to a genuine optical close-up of whoever is speaking, instead of blowing up a crop from a single wide frame. An eight-element microphone array inside the camera bar works out who is talking and where they are sitting, which is what drives the automatic switching and framing.

The unit carries its own loudspeaker system covering 100 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 90 dB SPL, so a room built around it does not need separate room audio for the far end. The trailing "=" marks this as the spare or standalone part number, for replacing a Quad Camera in an existing system or building a room around a separately purchased codec. Specifications on this page are taken from Cisco's published documentation for this part number.

Key features

Four sensors rather than one

A wide lens plus three 50-degree tele-lenses let the camera switch to a genuine optical close-up of whoever is speaking, instead of blowing up a crop from a single wide frame.

Speaker tracking built in

An eight-element microphone array inside the camera bar works out who is talking and where they are sitting, which is what drives the automatic switching and framing.

Speakers in the same bar

The unit carries its own loudspeaker system covering 100 Hz to 20 kHz at up to 90 dB SPL, so a room built around it does not need separate room audio for the far end.

Ordered as a standalone spare

The trailing "=" marks this as the spare or standalone part number, for replacing a Quad Camera in an existing system or building a room around a separately purchased codec.
