Description
The Sharp EP-C131 is a 13.3" electronic paper (ePaper) display purpose-built for small-format commercial signage such as shelf-edge labels, menu boards and reception information panels. Using Spectra6 six-colour reflective ePaper technology at a native 1600 x 1200 resolution, it produces a paper-like image with wide viewing angles and no backlight glare, and consumes effectively zero power while a static image is displayed — power is drawn only during the brief moment content is refreshed. Content is managed wirelessly or over USB, with built-in WiFi, Bluetooth and an integrated System-on-Chip supporting selected content management system partners, so screens can be updated remotely without running data cabling to each unit. The lightweight panel supports landscape, portrait, face-up and face-down orientations, and can be wall-hung like a picture frame or used free-standing. This is a genuine small-format digital signage product from Sharp's commercial display range — not a repackaged computer monitor — aimed at retail shelf-edge pricing, hospitality menu displays and similar always-on, low-power signage applications.
