Description

The MEG 14-40 is a 40 cm gooseneck microphone with a single flexible section and Sennheiser's KE 10 cardioid capsule built in. It is the mainstay of council chambers, lecterns and conference tables, where a microphone has to be aimed once and then left alone.

The gooseneck is streamlined so that it disappears into the furniture rather than dominating it, and the flexible element allows precise alignment on the speaker. RF shielding protects the signal against intermodulation from the wireless equipment that tends to be running in the same room. It is made in Germany.

This is the -L-II version: it carries an integrated green light ring and terminates in an XLR 5M connector, which carries both the microphone signal and the power for the ring. Sennheiser notes that the MEG 14-40 is compatible with the MAT 133 B, MAT 133-S B and SL Tablestand 133-S DW table stands, and that the MEG 14-40-L-II B is compatible with the MAT 153-S B and SL Tablestand 153-S DW. Standard warranty is two years.
