Description

Nexmosphere NEO is a power controller for digital signage and interactive installations. Nexmosphere states it 'gives you full control and visibility over the energy usage and operational health of your setup.'

Instead of relying on 'typical power usage' specifications, it measures the actual power consumption of each connected device under real conditions, including variations caused by settings such as display brightness or content type.

Intelligent start-up and shut-down control ensures equipment powers up in the right order — for example switching on the player before the display — while system health monitoring lets you check remotely whether devices are functioning as expected, and remote power cycling reduces field visits.

Smart scheduling and routine management cut energy costs, either with daily on/off cycles for stand-alone installations or by activating displays only when a person is present.

The NEO 600 series offers power measurement and control over all individual power outputs, a USB connection for API communication, and network connectivity with complimentary online dashboards plus the option of server-to-server communication.

The NEO640 is Nexmosphere's four-output model: 'Power controller, 4x 110-230V output, 4x X-talk'.

It provides one C14 110-240 VAC power input and four C13 110-230 VAC power outputs, with power measurement and power control on each individual output; power outputs 3 and 4 are fitted on the NEO640 model only.

Scheduling

Create and store up to 16 schedules for stand-alone power control applications.

Monitoring

Actively monitor the installation with settable min and max power warnings per output, an adjustable soft-fuse, an individual watchdog timer per output, and diagnostic logs such as hours of operation and switch cycles.

X-talk interface

Connect Nexmosphere sensors — presence, RFID, ambient light, temperature, touch buttons or Lidar — to create interactive applications or smart power routines.

USB interface

The NEO controller manifests itself as a USB-to-Serial converter and is compatible with all mainstream operating systems and digital signage players, integrating via Nexmosphere's serial API.
