Description

Logitech Strong USB is an active optical cable built for permanent installation, letting a room PC, Mac or Chromebox sit out of sight while a camera or touch controller goes wherever the room needs it. This 25 m version terminates in USB Type-A at the host end and USB Type-C at the device end, and carries USB 3.2 Gen 2 at up to 10 Gbps - twice the data rate of a typical 3 m USB 3.0 cable and over eight times the reach.

It is designed to survive the install rather than just the bench. The cable withstands 200 newtons of tensile strength and a 1000 kg crush load, holds a 25 mm minimum dynamic bend radius and pulls through conduit from 19 mm diameter upwards. It is plenum rated and Eca certified to IEC 60332-1-2, so it can be run in walls, above ceilings, through raceways and inside conduit where ordinary USB cabling is not permitted.

Strong USB works with USB 2.0, 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 ports and is intended for self-powered USB devices and hubs with their own power supply, including Logitech MeetUp, Rally Camera and Tap. Being an active optical cable it does not carry bus power, so it will not drive bus-powered webcams or speakerphones on its own. A 152 mm USB Type-C pigtail extension is supplied in the box. Two-year limited hardware warranty.
