Description

Rally Mic Pod 2 extends microphone coverage in rooms built around Rally Board 65. Seven omnidirectional microphones form six acoustic beams across a 7.2 m diameter pickup area, with a 90 Hz to 16 kHz frequency response, sensitivity of -36 dBFS ±1 dB at 1 Pa and a 48 kHz data rate.

RightSound 2 processing runs on the captured audio: AI noise suppression, AI echo suppression, AI voice equalisation, voice activity detection, direction of arrival and acoustic echo cancellation. The result is levelled voices and suppressed room noise without the far end hearing processing artefacts.

Connection is over shielded category cable through RJ45 in and out — up to 40 m of Cat5e SF/UTP or 70 m of Cat6 SF/UTP between the host device and the pod. Two pods can be daisy-chained with up to 10 m between them on any shielded category cable. Note that Rally Mic Pod 2 is designed for Rally Board 65 and uses RJ45 rather than the 12-pin connector of the original Rally Mic Pod, so it is not a drop-in replacement on Rally, Rally Plus or Rally Bar systems. The pod measures 140 x 140 x 30 mm and weighs 339 g, its plastic content is at least 52% post-consumer recycled material, and it is managed through Logitech Sync. Cover is a 2-year limited hardware warranty.
