Description

The Elmo L-12S is a 4K document camera (visualiser) for classrooms and meeting rooms. Elmo describes it as the "New Standard for Classroom" with clear visuals and easy, simple operation. Elmo's own model code for it is 1381.

The 1/3.2" 13-megapixel CMOS sensor outputs up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at a maximum 60 fps at 1080p, with x12 optical and x16 digital zoom giving x192 total. Shooting area is 470 x 260 mm at 16:9 and 430 x 320 mm at 4:3, so A3 originals fit on the stage.

Connections are HDMI in x1 and HDMI out x1 with pass-through, USB Type-C (device, USB 2.0) and USB Type-A (host, USB 2.0). There is a built-in microphone, a white LED lamp, a security lock slot and a zoom dial and auto-focus key on the unit.

Photos and video record to a USB drive or internal storage as JPG and MP4. Class-support functions include picture-in-picture, comparison, microscope mode, mask and highlight (the last two require a USB mouse). Free Elmo software — Image Mate 5 and the web-based Image Mate + C — adds zoom, rotate, freeze, annotation, capture and recording. Elmo states a 5-year warranty.
