Description

BrightSign XT5 is the Series 5 flagship digital signage player, described by BrightSign as 'Our most flexible, high-performance player'.

BrightSign states the XT5 elevates signage experiences and reliably replaces PCs with a blend of motion graphics power, cutting-edge video performance and connections that maximize efficiency.

It decodes a single 8K 60p 10-bit stream or dual 4K 60p 10-bit streams, and supports HDR10, HLG and Rec.2020/BT.2020, 4K video rotation and 4K full-resolution images and graphics.

The player is powered over Ethernet (PoE+ Gigabit) and has an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI workloads.

Housed in an ultra-thin anodized aluminium enclosure with built-in wall mounting, it measures 238.62 x 185.90 x 19.19 mm and weighs 0.68 kg (1.41 kg shipping).

XT2145 is the Expanded Multiplex I/O package version of the XT5. BrightSign describes it as an ultra-thin device that 'delivers robust 3D motion graphics in 4K, vibrant HDR video from Full HD to breathtaking 8K, and power the player and peripherals via PoE+.'

Its HTML5 performance level is rated by BrightSign as 'Dual HTML presentations driving 2 screens'.

It is the only XT5 variant with two HDMI outputs: HDMI 1 output is 2.1a and supports 8K, HDMI 2 output is 2.0a and supports 4K. BrightSign positions it for two-screen deployments from a single player, duplicating content or assigning different messaging per screen. It also has the HDMI 2.0a input for live video sources, plus USB-A, USB-C and 3.5mm RS-232 serial.
