Description
The VM3250 is the second-generation version of ATEN's 32 x 32 modular frame, raising the internal data rate to 22.5 Gbps so that the fitted boards can carry uncompressed True 4K at 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma. Eight input and eight output slots take hot-swappable matrix boards.
Alongside the scaler, Seamless Switch and web GUI video wall tools inherited from the first generation, the Gen. 2 frame adds single-source live streaming through the web GUI, so an engineer can confirm what a given output is actually showing without walking to the screen, and thumbnail content and layout previews.
Management runs from the front panel, over RS-232, RS-485 or RS-422, and across Ethernet by web GUI or Telnet, with the ATEN Video Matrix Control app available for tablet operation. The frame occupies 9U.
