Description

The ViewSonic VBS200-A ViewBoard Box is a small Android appliance that adds ViewSonic's software platform to a display that does not have it. Plug it into a monitor, a presentation display or a projector and that screen gains the myViewBoard suite, wireless casting and the ViewBoard launcher without replacing the display itself.

It runs on a Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A55 with 4GB of memory and 16GB of storage, with a Micro SD slot for additional media. Video goes out over HDMI 2.0 at 4K 60Hz, with a second HDMI 1.4 output and a Mini DisplayPort for multi-screen setups.

Power can come over Ethernet, which is often the deciding factor for a lectern or a ceiling-mounted projector where a mains socket is awkward. RS232 and gigabit Ethernet allow the box to be controlled and monitored as part of a managed room, and myViewBoard Display and ViewBoard Cast handle screen sharing from user devices.
