Description
The ViewSonic CDE98G3-1C is a 98" non-touch commercial display designed for secure, round-the-clock digital signage in mission-critical environments such as corporate lobbies, government facilities, healthcare sites and higher education. It uses a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) TFT LCD panel with DLED backlight and anti-glare coating (3H hardness, 25% haze), delivering 500 cd/m2 typical brightness in landscape or portrait orientation. What sets this model apart is its "OS-free architecture": rather than a general-purpose smart-TV style OS, it runs Android 14 on a quad-core SoC with 8GB of RAM in a stripped-down mode with no pre-installed apps or background services, reducing the attack surface for IT and security teams managing large signage estates. Connectivity includes 3x HDMI 2.1 inputs, USB-C with DisplayPort 1.2, VGA, RS-232 and RJ45 LAN, plus 2x USB 2.0 Type-A ports for media playback and firmware updates, with dual 10W speakers built in. This is a fixed, non-touch panel - it does not include interactive touch functionality.
