Description
The ZRD-VS25FB is a cabinet from Sony's Crystal LED CAPRI range, built for virtual production rather than signage. It is a 500 x 500 mm square cabinet on a 2.5 mm pitch, 200 x 200 pixels, running at a 7,680 Hz refresh rate - the number that matters on a shooting stage, because it is what stops the wall banding or flickering in camera at high shutter speeds.
Brightness peaks at 1,500 cd/m2 and colour coverage is approximately 98% of DCI-P3 and 82% of BT.2020, so virtual sets reproduce faithfully and interactive lighting off the wall lands close to the intended colour. This version is driven by the Brompton Tessera SX40 processor.
CAPRI is designed to go up and come down quickly. Cabinets self-stack or self-hang up to 14 high (about 7 m), weigh roughly 10 kg each and are 93 mm deep, and maintenance is quick enough to keep on-set downtime short. Sony positions CAPRI as part of a wider virtual production ecosystem alongside its Cinema Line cameras and Virtual Production Tool Set.
