Description
The Sony VPL-GTZ380 is Sony's premium flagship laser projector for large luxury home cinema and screening rooms, built around a 0.74-inch 4K SXRD panel (4096 x 2160) and a unique 3-channel laser light source that achieves 10,000 lumens of brightness alongside 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage - unusual for a projector this bright. Sony's flagship X1 Ultimate for projector processor drives Object-based HDR Remaster, Dynamic HDR Enhancer, Object-based Super Resolution and Dual Database Processing. Like Sony's large-venue installation projectors, the GTZ380 is sold body-only: focus, zoom and lens shift are all powered, but the projection lens itself is a separate optional accessory chosen from the VPLL-Z8014 (normal, 1.49:1-2.91:1 throw) or VPLL-Z8008 (short throw, 0.85:1-1.09:1) options to suit the installation. This lets integrators specify exactly the throw distance a bespoke screening room needs. Inputs include 2x HDMI (HDCP 2.3) and 2x DisplayPort 1.4, with RS-232C, LAN and dual 12V trigger control for full integration into a custom AV system. At approximately 51 kg (excluding lens), this is a serious, professionally-installed centrepiece projector rather than a plug-and-play unit.
