Description
The EB-XQ2030B is Epson's ultra-high-brightness large-venue platform: 30,000 lumens of white and colour light output at 4K, from a body Epson describes as the smallest and lightest in its brightness class. For rental fleets and fixed installs that difference shows up in transport, rigging time and truck space rather than on the screen.
Imaging is 3LCD across 1.04-inch panels with Epson's 4K Crystal Motion, a native contrast ratio of 3,000:1 and an overall figure quoted above 5,000,000:1. Ten interchangeable lenses cover throw ratios from 0.34:1 to 11:1 with motorised zoom, focus and lens position memory, and an integrated camera handles image calibration across stacked or blended arrays.
Signal handling is built for installation rather than presentation: twin HDMI in plus HDMI out, HDBaseT, 12G-SDI in and out, Ethernet, RS-232C and an Intel SDM slot for AVoIP receivers and media players. The optical engine and light source module carry an IP6X dust-resistance rating with a filter-free design, and Epson's warranty is 36 months carry-in. Note the projector body is supplied without a lens.
Key features
3LCD gives equal colour and white brightness at large-venue output levels, so projection mapping and stage content keep their saturation.
Throw ratios from 0.34:1 to 11:1 with motorised zoom, focus and lens position memory. Lenses are ordered separately.
HDBaseT, 12G-SDI in and out, twin HDMI in, HDMI out and an Intel SDM slot for AVoIP standards and integrated media players.
Dust resistance applied to the optical engine and light source module, with no filters to service in the field.
