Description

The Epson EB-PU2216B is a 3LCD laser installation projector rated at 16,000 lumens of white and colour brightness (11,200 lumens in economy mode). It has native WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution with 4K enhancement, 10-bit colour processing and support for HDR10 and HLG content. The chassis measures 586 x 492 x 218 mm and weighs around 24.3 kg, much smaller and lighter than older projectors of similar brightness.

It takes Epson's interchangeable motorised EB-PU lenses, giving throw ratios from 0.35:1 to 7.41:1 depending on the lens, with vertical lens shift of +/-60% and horizontal shift of +/-18%. Lenses are sold separately. The optical engine and laser light source are sealed to IP5X for dust resistance, and the light source is rated at 20,000 hours in normal mode. Built-in processing supports stacking two units for higher brightness, and it can be ceiling, desk or truss mounted.

Connections include HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, HDBaseT, LAN, RS-232C and USB, with optional wireless LAN. The black chassis suits theatres, museums, visitor attractions and rental and staging where the projector should not draw the eye. The EB-PU2116W is the white equivalent.
