Description

The LMP-H210 is Sony's genuine replacement lamp module for Sony VPL-HW65ES. Sony lists it by part number on the projector's own specification, so this is the lamp the projector was designed and rated around - not a compatible equivalent.

Sony specifies the VPL-HW65ES light source as a 215 W type high-pressure mercury lamp with a recommended replacement time of 6,000 hours in Low lamp mode.

Projector lamps are consumables: brightness falls away gradually over the lamp's life and the projector will warn when replacement is due. Sony recommends cleaning or replacing the air filter at the same time as the lamp, since a blocked filter shortens the life of the one that replaces it. The module ships complete with its housing, so fitting is a case of removing the lamp door, swapping the assembly and resetting the lamp timer.
