It remains part of Sony's current FWD commercial lineup precisely because it fills that entry-level, tuner-equipped niche - larger commercial displays in the range start at 4K, so the W800 series continues to be sold new rather than being propped up as legacy stock. It uses Sony's X-Reality PRO processing to sharpen and reduce noise in standard-definition and HD content, and runs Android TV for access to streaming apps alongside its integrated digital tuner - useful where a display needs to show broadcast TV as well as signage content.
